Barely 15 minutes after she went back to work, Faracino was approached by the shoe department's manager with a gift-wrapped box. "These are compliments of Renée Zellweger. She wanted you to have them," he said. Inside were the Manolos she'd been admiring.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Bowman Gilfillan has just launched a whole "Go Green" project where we donated 1000 trees to Soweto and we have a little frog Mascot who we have to name!

Swan Lake

We saw Swan Lake at the Civic Theatre on Sunday - it was absolutely spectacular!

Maddy loved it! She even got the lead ballerina's autograph (Angela Malan - who played Odette/Odile), as well as the Prince (Iain McDonald), Rothbart and the Jester (Pablo someone or the other).

She also took a pic with Angela Malan, which I'll publish at another time as I haven't downloaded it yet!!!!

Build-a-Bear.....an expensive exercise

Since Build-a-Bear opened in Sandton City, my sister and I have spent our combined salaries there!!!!

The bear + voice box + fairy outfit + shoes + socks + panties + sunglasses + cheerleader outfit + rollerskates + leash + Sketchers..........

Vada, the gender confused Golden Retriever

This was a pic taken the day we got Vada (who we originally called Charlie).....

We took him to the zoo lake for a walk and some woman said, no, that's not a boy it's a girl, so we then christened her Vada (the little girl from the movie My Girl)!!!

After studying "THAT" area very well, I definitely decided that he was a boy.....by that time,

(s)he was already responding to "her" name, Vada, and couldn't find it in my heart to change it to Charlie.......

So we now have a boy Golden Retriever called Vada.

Go figure!!!!!!
